Manfred, you are one of the few people who took interest in me growing up and supported me in building my career. I have always valued your knowledge and your interest in my life and work, despite the years during which we lost contact. Growing up I saw you as a role model, a friend who was extremely generous, and full of stories - a multifaceted person with a rare, individual but actually caring character. Johan and I often spoke about you, sharing old stories and good memories.

I will miss you.
